Energy efficiency, emissions and compliance: we are the experts

From informed advice to managing the entire process on your behalf, we are trusted

New and existing clients trust us to helping them understand and respond appropriately to the latest legislation and rules relating to energy efficiency, emissions and compliance – to avoid penalties and achieve measurable benefits while avoiding a massive administrative burden.

We work alongside and support our customers whatever the situation – if you are audited, for example, or run into any other issues relating to compliance –and because we are the energy specialists, we can also ensure that your compliance processes, strategies and responses are always up to date. In many cases, as we also have Bill Validation data covering client consumption and costs, we can align these insights with compliance activity to help our clients take their energy efficiency and carbon commitment reductions further: into proactive energy management programmes that deliver value in the long-term.

Carbon reduction

We provide an end-to-end service for the UK government’s CRC (Carbon Reduction Commitment) Energy Efficiency scheme. Participation is mandatory for most UK companies who use electricity through half-hourly metering – and we can support you every step of the way, from reviewing your business and registration to data collection and annual reporting. By ensuring compliance we can help you to avoid serious financial penalties, while proactive strategies to improve energy efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions can lead to substantial energy and financial savings.

Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS)

With tight deadlines and penalties for non-compliance, our specialist Compliance team can also help to ensure that qualifying UK organisations can meet the requirements of this mandatory energy assessment scheme, administered by the Environment Agency. Organisations that meet the criteria must carry out ESOS assessments every four years: audits of the energy used by their buildings, industrial processes and transport to identify cost-effective energy saving measures. With ESOS applying to large UK undertakings and their corporate groups, it mainly affects businesses but can also apply to not-for-profit bodies and other non public sector undertakings large enough to meet the criteria.

We can advise you if you qualify, and then manage the site audits on your behalf: appointing a qualified Lead Assessor to gather all the data required ahead of the deadline for compliance. There is only a limited pool of talent in the UK trained and certified to carry out detailed ESOS assessments – and we partner with the leading accredited bodies. With time running out, the imperative for ESOS is to act now – and we can help you achieve compliance and avoid penalties in the most efficient and focused ways.
